She had been here many times, the place which seemed to be the edge of the world. More often than not, the heavy mist and low cloud cover reduced the visibility to a couple meters. Her milky pelt blended her into the light gray fog like a ghost; her grace making her seem even more a phantom. The ruby red eyes were not harsh enough for her to be mistaken as demon (most of the time), but the color off-putting enough to send chills down the spines of the creatures scuttling about the river bank. As she slowly padded across the smooth shale, watched the birds flutter away from the sitting puddles in the rocks and couple deer bound and flee from the river’s edge. She could always get her way here. She could be alone.

Keumjo heaved a sigh as she continued to make her way closer to the falls at the end of river, one of her most favored places. The thunderous falls could be heard down the wide river for miles, liters upon liters crashing on the jagged rocks below. The watery melody was good for thought. There would be some days she’d spend hours sitting motionless, wandering and losing herself the abyss of her mind. No one would bother her. Her inner dialog was free run wild as rational and emotions clashed. It would all balancing out however, to a perfect poker face she worn nearly permanently.

Finally at the end of the river, she peered over the edge. It would be so easy to just wade into the powerful waters and allow herself to be thrown into the falls. Something which she would, of course, never do. “Life is delicate,” she mouthed to herself, the words being shaped on her lips but not voiced. The words were lost in her throat. Shaking out her pelt, she freed the dewy mist which had decided to cling to her snowy tendrils. Nonetheless, now so close to the roaring river, the action was in vain as she was still impossibly wet. A shiver racked her body but it came as a pleasure, reminding her she was still living. Licking some of the water off the tip of her nose, she inhaled the chilled moist air, letting her eyes flutter shut.

With a deep exhale, she slowly lifted her lids to pad a few steps closer before lowering her haunches, staring ahead with no particular focus.

Something was different. Keumjo sensed it in the air. There would be a new chapter beginning today. She couldn’t tell what it would entail, but the world wasn’t going to be as boring. Maybe she’d get an interesting story to listen to today…

OOC: Well, she'll need to wait for a nice table hah. Wasn't really sure how Serena's river looked like, but this is what I pictured it as lol. Thread is open, but lowkey I'm waiting on Drago to show up to play because of her resemblance to her cray af brother. ;D Oh! And I'd recommend reading a bit of her history before deciding to RP with Keumjo. It could give you a cool idea on why your character decided to seek her out~

Azure eyes the color of ice took in the surroundings greedily, eating up enough of her sights to memorize it almost instantaneously. This new land was utterly interesting, separated by what appeared to be as islands. Luciel knew it was only a matter of time before places were claimed, including her own, so she took it upon herself to get the upper hand while she could. To explore the new lands, while she could. Someday, in the near future, more and more wolves would unite with alliances and for that day, Luciel anxiously awaited. And for the moment, exploration was the only choice she could make until she found wolves for her own pack.

The air was cold, bitter in her lungs but caused a burn she would admit she quite adored. It was refreshing, put her nerves on end and her violet pelt stood up as her body shivered under the bite of the wind. There was something undeniably attractive about this place- but this was not her home. It was her victim. Ivory claws sunk lightly into the ground marking her path as she began to follow a trail not quite made yet. The sound, though, of water crashing was near and calling her- beckoning her. Danger, it always called out to her. Darkness; it always ensnared her.

Then the river was in view and it was a wonderous sight to behold. Fast waters, cold waters, dangerous, dark and deep waters. Luciel felt a smile curl at her black lips and licked them without thought. This place was absolutely taunting. 'Forget your despairs, and come into my grasp', the waters seemed to whisper. And just when Luciel thought it couldn't be any better, she was gravely mistaken for the waters led to falls that violently boomed in the air. Making her way towards the falls, however, her black nose went up into the air and she scented the air. Beneath the strong scent of water, there was another wolf somewhere.

Eyes as cold and dangerous as winter storms finally spotted it; the white wolf who Luciel seemingly interrupted. She was rather close to the raging waters and Luciel almost thought of pushing the poor creature in. Instead, she cleared her voice and allowed her soft, cunning tone to cut through the air. Might you be careful so close to death, lest the river decide to return your soul today... She hissed the words, venomous, eyes narrowing. Perhaps Luciel's most noticeable trait... Would be, being a bitch for no reason. However, it was the nature of one who serves the lord night.

The Ants go Marching On
--------------------------- Let's have a war ---------------------------

Silke; Luciel; Keujmo ❋ 327 words
Worn pawpads struck against the moist, cold slate below Silke. The crisp air stung at the insides of her nostrils as she neared the falls. There was no particular reason she was walking, but there wasn't much to do nowadays. Food wasn't too hard to find in the woods, and since the fall of Traum things have been uneventful in this bland, freezing landscape she had come to call home. It was never like the old days, but it was life now.

As the old woman weaved through the foliage and rocky obstacles, the roaring of the falls began to drown out everything else. The scent of strangers invaded her nostrils and Silke stopped in her tracks, tasting the air with intent. They definitely weren't Glacium wolves. 'Who's this close to Glacium?' An annoyed grunt escaped the elder's throat as she proceed forward with her head bent low, and she heard a voice before she saw the body that owned it.

'Might you be careful so close to death, lest the river decide to return your soul today...' As Silke rounded the bend up to the peak of the falls, the pair came into view. One was a strange shade of violet, and the obvious owner of the voice as the white wolf seemed to stand at the edge of the falls as if she were pondering if she should jump. Was the the Ice Princess? The lone wolf who's legends were weaved through pup's tales as an evil witch of sorts. With her head cocked to the side, she hid her blind eye on the other side as she made herself known.

"You two are awfully comfortable in Glacium territory," She gruffed. Silke wasn't planning on a fight, but the island had been claimed by Glacium. She didn't expect them to leave just because a grumpy old lady told them to, she just wanted to know what they could be up to so close to home.

Eyelids drooping, she lazily watched white clouds wisped out of the tip of her snout and blend into the grayer mist. There was something therapeutic about watching the delicate vapors intertwine and blend into one another. Mm. A couple more breathes like this.

Inhale…exhale….inhal-

She paused abruptly. There was another scent in the air now. Perhaps two? One. No. One was closer than the other. But definitely two. She thoughtfully pursed her lips, eyes dipping down to watch a tree branch get abused by the violent waters, splintering apart before being launched off the edge.

Yes. Something will happen. Keumjo’s alone time would be put on hold, she would have to wait to explore her personal musings and thoughts. Her peace was going to be disturbed a little earlier than planned, but she couldn’t bring herself to be annoyed by it. She proved rather elusive in general, but she hadn’t taken particular care today in avoiding other wolves. Unconsciously wanting a little excitement, she neglected checking for signs of other inhabitants of the area. So who had the lucky chance to come across her?

Her ears swiveled to listen to the subtle pattern of paw steps approaching, stiffening slightly as she gauged the speed of her visitor. She wanted to figure out if this wolf was going to be threat or not. Her shoulders rolled back relaxed as it didn’t seem to be the case, but continued to listen cautiously for any signs her assumption was incorrect.

“Might you be careful so close to death, lest the river decide to return your soul today…”

Oh.

Unmoving, Keumjo blinked and droplets of mist freed themselves from her lashes. Excitement diminished significantly. This obviously wasn’t going to be quite as fun as she hoped, but she would take what she could get.

She stilled for a moment, statue-like, as she prepared herself for one of those interactions. She slowly rolled her head back over her shoulder to peer at her less than pleasant visitor. She looked nearly like a living corpse with the complete lack of expression she wore; it certainly provided an unnerving experience. Her crimson eyes drank in the wolf before her, unimpressed by her snide comment.

Staring for a moment, not yet willing enough to reposition herself entirely, she picked apart the wolf before her. Needlessly snarky, an easy enough trait to figure out. Cruel based on the look in those azure eyes. Manipulative from how she held herself. Most likely easily tells lies then. Why though…not trauma. Upbringing? Hm. Keumjo narrowed her eyes slightly, but her apathetic gaze didn’t waver.

Keumjo didn’t have so many stories woven about her without reason. The ability for reading into situations and individuals came naturally as swimming comes to a fish or as flying comes to a crow.

After a long moment, Keumjo stood and turned to completely face the odd colored female, the pelt of the wolf a surprising shade violets and blues. So unusual. Compared to her angel white pelt, it was quite the contrast. She thought the vibrancy was in kind of pretty.

Maintaining her taciturnity, Keumjo barely cocked her head slightly to the right and raised an eyebrow. Wordlessly answering her ominous remark with an implied “Is there something you need of me?”

Her cold eyes showed no emotion, simply glowing through the fog eerily with a strange unnerving beauty. Part of her charm you could say, in addition being blessed with nearly a perfect figure of a wolf. Not that she cared much for how she looked, but it did attribute to the ‘princess’ part of the title of Ice Princess, which she had been called by a few times. The first time she heard the title, it caught her by surprise but it was certainly enjoyable listening to the rumors spun about her. Keumjo flickered her gaze over the purple wolf’s shoulder to the second creature matching the fainter sense she had detected before.

This one was scrawny from age and somewhat battered with experience too. One of her eyes looked off and from the cock of her head…mm, vision impaired.

“You two are awfully comfortable in Glacium territory.”

She seems like she’d be mad if she found out I’ve wandered most of this island unnoticed for a while now… Keumjo silently mused to herself. Elders do have a lot of tales…and being part of Glacium, she would have had more current news of the state of the islands than I…but she seems more concerned about how close to her territory I am.

Keumjo wanted to sigh, but kept it to herself. This wasn’t exactly what she was hoping for. She had a sudden urge simply to walk away. She simply just didn’t care for this interaction anymore, but she decided it was better than nothing.

She elegantly sauntered forward. An icy gust of wind sent the water droplets attached to her snowy tendrils into the air, an illusionary sparkle. She stopped equidistance from the two at a respectable range, the pads of her feet now cold from standing on the previously untouched shale. Keumjo glanced between the wolf with a venomous tongue to the territorial elder, blinking twice.

Ah, for future reference, names are always helpful I suppose. /p>

“What are your names?” her asked plainly, voice was smoothly soft like a song, pleasant. Yet, it wasn’t gentle nor comforting.

Before the ghost-like wolf could reply to Luciel's attempt at some sick game, another wolf had spoken before she. She approached like she owned the place, something that Luciel instantly disliked, and accused the violet goddess of trespassing. At that, however, Luciel immediately felt a low chuckle build in her stomach before it reached her black lips. Luciel looked at the old beaten gray wolf with a smirk that meant something like business. Azure eyes narrowed and a cruel smile curled on her maw, a frown accompanying the face that could only be described at this moment as dangerous. She then lifted a brow, and raised her head. So I'm unwelcomed? Well, how about this; you go get your alpha and they can escort me off- oh, wait. As it would seem, Glacium is currently without a ruler, and without a leader does a pack actually exist? You have a lot of nerve talking to me like that, old bat. Things here sure are tense, seeing as there is an entire island perhaps up for grabs lest an alpha rise among you. Her words were full of cruelness, cunning and of course, potential. What chaos could this violet vixen cause here, serve as a catalyst for?

She was eyeing that wolf for quite some time, sneer and smirk. Finally, though, the first wolf broke that brief silence with ghostly, almost absent words. "What are your names?" It seemed childish to Luciel, that this female would act so mysterious, so much above them. Her head snapped to that direction, and a small snarl curved on her maw. The nerve of this woman really got to Luciel. As for you, give up that stupid act. Oh, your so mysterious, almost like a ghost, ooooh, give it up. If you're a ghost why don't you just jump into that river, and let your spirit be guided back to whatever rotten carcass it came from? So predictable. Luciel herself had no act. Her cruelty was just who she was, her unfortunate nature. To herself, though, it was, of course, perfect.

Luciel was now completely aware of her surroundings, though, surrounded by two wolves who were apparently both of alliances she would one day challenge from her own pack. The white wolf and old one were both in her view, thankfully, and her back was way from both just in case they might be as aggressive as herself. Her glaring eyes were cold as always, however curiosity was as alive as a fire there. She wasn't sure what she might expect from this encounter though she would make it worthwhile.

Then, she looked directly at the white wolf again, who also carried a title with pride. Where as she was Ice Princess, Luciel was the Queen of the damned, of the shadows, of evil. Luciel was the greater here, was the highest power among them all though they haven't figured it that far yet. Something was formulating, though, a game if you might, for Luciel was no pawn, but the chessmaster, controlling the pieces how she might like. Yet I know your alias, your reputation, if only little. So I have a question for you- disregard the names, we're all better than that. What have you done to earn a title, hm? Have you earned one? Here, lets trade secrets. I earned my own reputation from blood spill and sacrifices. Can you say you have done anything as great for your name, princess? The princess part was a silly cruelty to Luciel, and her sentence ended with a teasing laugh. Now, it was all luck to decide where the cards fell, though Luciel still felt she still might have something up her sleeve.
